Mister Rogers builds a balance scale from wood. He compares the weights of different vegetables as well as of members of a doll family. Mr. McFeely brings him a balance toy. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the neighbors are preparing for the carnival. Mr. McFeely delivers a tiger mask to Daniel and some cards to X the Owl. X, dressed as Benjamin Franklin, is going to print cards at the carnival. Lady Aberlin demonstrates how she will be a tight-rope walker. Henrietta is going to be a balloon lady. Daniel frightens himself when he wears his tiger mask and looks in a mirror. He is able to try wearing the mask again when Lady Aberlin is with him. Back with Mister Rogers, he talks about children doing frightening things at first with someone they trust.
