Imaginary things

Mister Rogers imagines someone sitting on a chair. He reads to the imaginary person. He talks about imagining things in the clouds. He shows another book. The pages are blank. The reader is to imagine what the pages could hold. Mr McFeely arrives wearing a funny hat. Mister Rogers tries it on. Marilyn Barnett arrives for exercise. She puts Mister Rogers and Mr. McFeely through their paces. Mr. McFeely informs Mister Rogers of a suprise later at Brockett’s Bakery. Mister Rogers talks about pretending and imagination. He goes to Brockett’s Bakery where Chef Brockett is making sandwiches with happy and sad faces. Back at home, Mister Rogers washes his hands then makes a face sandwich of his own and says he will give it to somebody who is hungry. He says that people need real food, not imaginary food, and that being helpful is rewarding. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri helps Prince Tuesday bring his Tome doll to life. Tome dances. Cornflake S. Pecially asks Handyman to deliver an umbrella rocking chair to Daniel’s imaginary friend, Malcom Apricot Dinko. Handyman speaks with X the Owl about imaginary friends, then makes his delivery to Daniel. The imaginary friend is grateful. Handyman speaks with King Friday about his day.
