Mister Rogers demonstrates a set of balancing scales. Officer Clemmons stops by with the news that he will be leaving the neighborhood to join the Metropolitan Opera Company. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday and Queen Sara reveal their royal secret and announce that they are expecting a baby! Officer Clemmons also shares his news. Mister Rogers comments on what new babies can mean for a household.
Mister Rogers arrives with a box of crayons. He talks about how crayons are made and experiments with writing words on different colored papers with different colored crayons. Carol Saunders arrives with a poem about what moving means and shows Mister Rogers children’s drawings of people moving. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mrs. Saunders helps Lady Elaine tie up Officer Clemmons with a paper chain. Then Lady Elaine sings a hypnotic song so Officer Clemmons won’t move away. Officer Clemmons tells Lady Elaine that chains make people angry and make them not want to visit. Lady Elaine releases Officer Clemmons and gives him the chain to keep. Back with Mister Rogers, Mrs. Saunders sings with him about quiet fish. The two of them make plans about gifts to make for Officer and Mrs. Clemmons.
Mister Rogers arrives with an underwater diving mask. While changing his shoes he breaks his shoelace and restrings the shoe with the remaining lace. Mister Rogers pretends he is a fish and then tears a fish out of construction paper. Betty Aberlin arrives with a black angel fish for Mister Rogers. She uses scissors to cut a black angelfish out of construction paper. Mister Rogers and Betty Aberlin put the new fish into the tank. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin pretends she is a fish that kisses owls and pussycats. X the Owl recognizes Lady Aberlin and asks her questions about how fish have babies. Lady Aberlin explains that humans and animals grow babies inside the mother, and birds and most fish lay eggs. Lady Aberlin, X, and Henrietta arrange an appointment with Queen Sara to discuss the new baby. The Queen says she doesn’t mind talking about important things. Back with Mister Rogers, he talks about children discussing important matters with adults so they can grow.
Mister Rogers laces his shoes with new shoelaces. He talks about practicing new skills. He has brought a box of wooden items made by children. While viewing each piece, Mister Rogers talks about how each is unique. Mrs. Clemmons arrives with a poem about her new job. After Mister Rogers guesses her job title he invites the Clemmonses to a gathering tomorrow in their honor. Mrs. Clemmons says she enjoys raspberry delight for dessert. Mister Rogers calls Chef Brockett and asks him to describe raspberry delight. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Chef Brockett asks Edgar Cooke, Henrietta, Elsie Jean, and X the Owl which kind of raspberry delight the Clemmonses like. Elsie Jean informs the chef that there are almost a thousand kinds of raspberry delight. X the Owl suggests the chef ask the Clemmonses for their preference. Back with Mister Rogers, Chef Brockett calls Mrs. Clemmons and asks her which raspberry delight they like best. She says they like all kinds. Mister Rogers and Chef Brockett then pretend to make a raspberry delight and eat it.
Mister Rogers arrives with a small rock he will paint and give to the Clemmonses as a moving-away gift. Mr. Negri and Mrs. Saunders visit and sing the song Mister Rogers wrote for the Clemmonses. Mister Rogers paints a large “C” on the rock. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine doesn’t want the Clemmonses to move because she fears they may never come back. The Clemmonses promise they will visit; Lady Elaine gives each of them a pretend raspberry delight. X the Owl gives them an orange as a gift. Henrietta becomes upset because she doesn’t have a gift, but she is delighted when Officer Clemmons suggests she give them each a kiss as a gift. The Clemmonses also receive a portrait of the king and queen from King Friday and Queen Sara. Daniel gives them a polished stone and a song. Back with Mister Rogers, Betty Aberlin arrives with assorted types of raspberry delights. When the Clemmonses arrive they eat the dessert and talk about their new home and jobs. Mr. Negri and Mrs. Saunders sing, and Mister Rogers gives them their paperweight. Mister Rogers talks about how hard it is when friends move.
