Mister Rogers uses a saw and nails to make a frame out of wood. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, X the Owl and Lady Elaine Fairchilde help Handyman Negri build a new balcony on the castle.
Mister Rogers has two ducks on his porch that he is keeping for Mr. McFeely. Mr. McFeely brings them some water and bread. He also brings an invitation for Mister Rogers to the Vagabond Marionettes’ production of “Rumpelstiltskin.”
Mister Rogers and Chef Brockett fingerpaint in Mister Rogers’ kitchen. Then Chef Brockett makes finger puppets for himself and Mister Rogers. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, a special guest is coming. Only King Friday and Handyman Negri know who it is. The king asks Lady Aberlin to keep Lady Elaine out of mischief during the special guest’s arrival. Lady Aberlin holds Lady Elaine’s boomerang-toomerang-soomerang so she won’t use it. When King Friday tells them they must wait until the next day to learn who the guest is, Lady Aberlin becomes so upset that she accidentally turns the king upside down. She tells him it was an accident. Lady Elaine thinks King Friday deserved it because he was teasing.
Mister Rogers shows some pictures of flowers by children. Lady Aberlin comes in dressed as a daisy. She pantomimes the growth of a plant from seed to flower. As she leaves, Mr. Lee, the florist, stops in to show different flowers and arrangements and demonstrate how children can arrange flowers from the garden. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Daniel asks Lady Aberlin to move like a flower in different kinds of weather. King Friday announces that Sara Saturday is the special guest. Lady Aberlin presents a flower arrangement to Sara Saturday as a gift from her, Daniel, and Henrietta.
Mister Rogers makes a paste from flour and water and then creates a collage with paper, yarn, and pipecleaners. Handyman Negri visits and makes a collage, too. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri picks up some wallpaper from the Museum-Go-Round to take to the castle. A room is being decorated for Sara Saturday. King Friday watches a wallpaper hanger at work.
