Mister Rogers explains how a wheelchair lift works, and then goes to see one in action. Returning to his house, Mister Rogers shows some of his puppets. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII commands Mayor Maggie, who had arrived in a wheelchair, to visit Dr. Bill Platypus for a clean bill of health. Meanwhile, Neighbor Aber gets a chance to try out Mayor Maggie’s wheelchair before they both are cleared by Dr. Bill as being in good health. Back at the house, Mr. McFeely brings Mister Rogers the book “Look, Look, Look.”
Mister Rogers plays with a toy gorilla and then remembers a visit he had with Koko, a real gorilla. A game of hide-and-seek is happening in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe when a gorilla arrives. As the gorilla goes throughout the Neighborhood, everyone is afraid except for Lady Aberlin. As she welcomes the gorilla, Lady Elaine Fairchilde sounds an alarm notifying everyone of the gorilla’s presence. Back at the house, Mr. McFeely brings over a film about how toy balls are made.
Mister Rogers shows an eye chart and then visits his eye doctor for an examination. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine Fairchilde sounds an alarm when Kevin Wendell Gorilla catches Lady Aberlin as she falls. Sounding the siren, Lady Elaine is determined to catch the gorilla. Meanwhile, everyone else begins to realize that Kevin Wendell Gorilla is friendly. Back at the house, Mister Rogers sings It’s You I Like before Mr. McFeely stops by with a film on how eyeglasses are made.
Mister Rogers plays with sticks and flashcards. Mr. McFeely brings a video about a boy and his service dog, who Mister Rogers then meets in person. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mayor Maggie believes that Neighbor Aber is missing and goes to the castle for a meeting in the M.P. (Missing Persons) Room. Handyman Negri and Dr. Bill take Kevin Wendell Gorilla to the Museum-Go-Round to show Lady Elaine that he is a friendly gorilla. Back at the house, Mister Rogers sings Many Ways to Say I Love You before going back to the flashcards.
Mister Rogers shows that he wears a microphone on his tie. He draws a rainbow and thinks about children playing with toys. Mister Rogers uses common items from his kitchen to set the scene rather than his models. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin is talking to Queen Sara about Kevin Wendell Gorilla and suggests that he may not be a real gorilla. Meanwhile, at the clock, Daniel and Kevin agree to be friends as they sing You Are Special. After singing, Kevin Wendell Gorilla reveals that he is really Neighbor Aber wearing a gorilla costume. He was doing an experiment to see how people would treat him if he didn’t look like himself. Back at the house, Mr. McFeely visits to read a library book with Mister Rogers. He also shows Mister Rogers a new toy.
