Mister Rogers enters carrying a box with fortune cookies in it. Mister Rogers reads one of the fortunes which is written in Spanish. Mr. McFeely shows up with a video entitled “How Fortune Cookies are Made.” Mister Rogers gives Mr. McFeely two fortune cookies and Mr. McFeely is very grateful.
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday is looking for “great things” and is unimpressed when Mr. McFeely tries to give him a box of fortune cookies. With his feelings hurt, Mr. McFeely shares his disappointment with a reassuring Mayor Maggie. Mr. Aber shows up and opens a super fortune cookie and out comes Fortune Cookie Man. Fortune Cookie man is dressed as a fortune cookie. At the clock, the Fortune Cookie Man introduces himself to Daniel Striped Tiger who is surprised to meet a “live speaking fortune cookie.”
Back at the house, Mister Rogers goes to visit Eric Carle who makes children’s books. Eric Carle shows Mister Rogers how he makes books and lets Mister Rogers help him make one. Then they look at a book together entitled “Head to Toe.”
Mister Rogers enters carrying a box with a vest in it. Instead of changing into a sweater, Mister Rogers puts the vest on. Then Mister Rogers goes to visit his neighbor Saihou Njie who made the vest. Saihou shows Mister Rogers how he makes the material for the vest and the other things he makes by batiking.
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Trolley brings a batik cloth to Handyman Negri. King Friday shows up and asks about the material and acts as if he wants it. Handyman Negri makes a present of the material to King Friday. In return, King Friday gives him a fortune cookie. Prince Tuesday shows up and asks Handyman Negri if it hurts his feelings when people don’t appreciate the gifts he gives them. Later, Fortune Cookie Man and Mayor Maggie are hula-hooping in front of the castle.
Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about how many things are made up of circles. Mr. McFeely shows up with a video entitled “How People Make Bagels.” Mister Rogers talks about how good it feels to share.
Mister Rogers shows his TV neighbors a child’s size potty and then goes into the bathroom to show an adult size potty. He talks about what an important step learning to use the potty is in a child’s life. Mister Rogers reads “The Potty Book.” He shows different drains in the bathroom and sings “You Can Never Go Down the Drain.”
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Prince Tuesday has come up with a game using a bucket but has had his feelings hurt when his father was not impressed. Prince Tuesday climbs atop the castle to demonstrate the game for Lady Aberlin but is interrupted by the arrival of King Friday. The King emphasizes his opinion that Prince Tuesday should not be involved in such “foolishness.” Betty Templeton is concerned because she has been trying to call Lady Elaine Fairchilde for three days and she hasn’t answered her phone. Robert Troll agrees to help her search the museum while Lady Aberlin plans to inform those at the castle.
Back at the house, Mr. McFeely shows up with a video entitled “How People Make Toilets.”
Mister Rogers shows his TV neighbors how to make a ring toss using a paper plate and a balloon. Marilyn Barnett stops by for some stretching exercises and Mister Rogers gives her the ring-toss game. Back in the kitchen, he uses another paper plate to make a pretend merry-go-round and sings a very simple song as it spins on top of the Museum-Go-Round model.
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mr. Aber is telling Queen Sara Saturday that Lady Elaine Fairchilde is missing. Queen Sara agrees to look for Lady Elaine in every room in the castle. Prince Tuesday tells Mr. Aber that Fortune Cookie Man is missing, too. X the Owl shows Mr. Aber a magic finder balloon — a helium balloon that will find whoever you are looking for if you write their name on it. Betty Templeton blows up the balloons and Mr. Aber writes Lady Elaine and Fortune Cookie Man on the two balloons. The Fortune Cookie Man balloon stops near the Museum-Go-Round and the Lady Elaine balloon continues to move.
Back at the house, Mr. McFeely shows up with a video entitled “How People Make Merry-Go-Round Horses.”
Mister Rogers shows pictures of LeVar Burton. Mr. McFeely, in anticipation of Levar’s visit, brings a book for him to read: “The Daddy Book.” Mister Rogers gives Mr. McFeely a paper bow tie. Mr. McFeely is very grateful for Mister Rogers’ gift.
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Neighbor Aber shows the finder balloon to King Friday who continues to scoff at what he considers to be foolishness. Robert Troll arrives wearing a pair of large glasses which he says will help him as he looks for Lady Elaine. He informs Neighbor Aber that Fortune Cookie Man was found taking a rest in the F.C. Room of the Museum-Go-Round. The finder balloon leads Robert Troll and Neighbor Aber to the Museum-Go-Round. At the museum, Betty Okonak Templeton and Fortune Cookie Man find Lady Elaine who had locked herself in the L Room. As Lady Elaine is freed, King Friday arrives to apologize to everyone for his recent arrogance and recognizes his appreciation for other people’s gifts.
Back at the house, LeVar Burton arrives to share The Daddy Book.
