Mister Rogers tells about how he cannot draw very well, but when he becomes frustrated he can play the piano. He visits the studio of artist Red Grooms. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine is struggling with her drawing of Grandpere’s tower. King Friday knows what it is supposed to be. However, Lady Elaine is so frustrated with her work that she sets herself spinning on the top of her Museum-Go-Round.Two child violinists visit Mister Rogers.
Mister Rogers enters carrying a slide whistle. Maggie Stewart shows up with a water and colored oil paperweight. Maggie sings and signs a song in American Sign Language. Maggie Stewart says she swims when she is feeling angry and it makes her feel better. Mister Rogers says when he makes up a new song on the piano it make him feel good. Later, Jay Styperk stops by to do some exercises with Mister Rogers. Jay talks about being in a wheelchair. Mr. McFeely shows up with a painting by Red Grooms for Mister Rogers. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Queen Sara Saturday is talking to Robert Troll about Lady Elaine Fairchilde’s anger. Robert Troll decides to draw Grandpere’s tower which was what Lady Elaine had been trying to draw. Grandpere comes out and says, in French, he likes Robert Troll’s drawing. Robert Troll and Mayor Maggie got to see Lady Elaine. Lady Elaine looks at Robert Troll’s picture and she goes to get her boomerang. Lady Elaine use her boomerang magic to turn Grandpere’s tower upside down.
Mister Rogers enters carrying a box with a Mr. McFeely doll in it. Mister Rogers shows a video on children using their hands to work and play. Then Mister Rogers shows his TV neighbors different things he does with his hands, like playing with building blocks. Mister Rogers shows a picture book entitled “Neighborhood of Make-Believe.” Later, Mister Rogers talks about how the Neighborhood of Make-Believe is just pretend. Mr. McFeely shows up to pick up his doll and drop off a video. The video is entitled “How People Make Facial Tissue.”In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mayor Maggie is talking to King Friday about how Lady Elaine Fairchilde turned Grandpere’s tower upside down when she was angry. Mr. Aber shows up and tells Mayor Maggie he is going to talk to Lady Elaine. Neighbor Aber asks Lady Elaine to talk about her feelings. Lady Elaine tells Mr. Aber she made Mr. McFeely turn into a doll and she will do that to anyone who bothers her including the king. Ana Platypus is afraid of what Lady Elaine is doing, but Mr. Aber comforts her.
Mister Rogers enters carrying a toy called a pounding board. He tells his TV neighbors that you should only pound appropriate things, not walls and furniture. Mister Rogers shows how to play with homemade play clay. Later, Mr. McFeely brings by a steel pan or what is sometimes called a steel drum. Mr. McFeely also has a video of his friend Phil Solomon making steel pans. Mister Rogers talks about how learning new skills takes practice. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin is talking to King Friday about Lady Elaine Fairchilde turning Grandpere’s tower upside down. Lady Aberlin decides that pounding might help Lady Elaine stop feeling angry. Lady Aberlin stops by Daniel Striped Tiger’s clock on her way to Lady Elaine’s place. Lady Aberlin asks Daniel Tiger if she can borrow his pounding board so that Lady Elaine can pound it. Betty Templeton Jones shows up at Lady Elaine’s with play clay to help Lady Elaine constructively express her anger.
Mister Rogers enters carrying a three-sided sign with the words “clap” and “stomp” on two sides. Mister Rogers goes to visit a musical group called Stomp. They perform a piece they call “Hands and Feet.” The members of STOMP show Mister Rogers how they use different objects like brooms and pipes to make music. Later, Mister Rogers talks about doing constructive things when you are angry.
