Mister Rogers uses colored water and test tubes of different sizes to discuss relative size and volume. He talks about drains and how people are too big to go through them. Mister Rogers shows how water goes through a pipe by drinking milk through a transparent straw. He spills some of the colored water on the floor and on his shoes. He doesn’t like the way it feels. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday wants a waterfall, so he orders Handyman Negri to pour water from one pitcher to another. Donkey Hodie suggests installing plumbing for a real waterfall. Corney orders pipes for the project.
Mister Rogers says he washed his socks last night. He shows different kinds of paperclips and how they are used. He points out that, although they are small, paperclips have an important job to do. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, gymnasts are performing for King Friday. He asks the teacher to show Lady Aberlin how to do a cartwheel. Water begins leaking into the castle gymnasium from the garden. A pipe that Handyman Negri and Donkey Hodie are working on for the waterfall has become clogged. Betty Aberlin shows Mister Rogers some collages. They work on one together.
Mister Rogers shows the differences between mother and baby lions. Officer Clemmons visits and talks about his new job with the Metropolitan Opera. He boils a pan of water to show that water can rise by itself in the form of steam. Handyman Negri and Donkey Hodie complete the waterfall project. King Friday XIII is pleased.
Mister Rogers begins to put together a fountain but discovers that one of the washers is missing. He goes to Bob Trow’s Workshop. Audrey Cleans Everything is there. Mister Rogers introduces her to the viewers. He finds the piece he needs and writes Bob a note asking him for it. Bob Trow brings the washer to Mister Rogers. They finish putting together the fountain. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Miss Paulificate visits Donkey Hodie in Someplace Else. He explains how the windmill pumps water to the castle waterfall. Lady Elaine takes the windmill apart because she wants it at the Museum-Go-Round. The water stops flowing. When Handyman Negri and Donkey Hodie discover the problem and reassemble the windmill, Lady Elaine tells them not to tell on her.
Mister Rogers asks the viewers to join him by walking circles of decreasing size. He momentarily forgets the words to a song. Mr. McFeely delivers a toy top. Mister Rogers goes to Betty’s Little Theater where he sees children expressing feelings through dance. Mister Rogers talks about different ways to express feelings and how the viewer feels about his leaving. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, X is harnessed to the Museum-Go-Round and is pulling it around. When he gets tired and stops, Lady Elaine wants the windmill to provide the power. The windmill, however, is pumping water for King Friday’s waterfall. X accidently throws a switch to a forgotten motor and the museum begins to rotate.
