Mister Rogers shows a small model of a bicycle that Bob Trow made. Mr. McFeely delivers a model of a tricycle. Mr. McFeely’s bicycle is being fixed at the repair shop. Mister Rogers explains the prefixes “bi” and “tri” and the word cycle. Mister Rogers visits Mr. Davison’s Bicycle Repair Shop where he watches Mr. Davison fix Mr. McFeely’s bicycle. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Bob Dog is fearful of all moving wheels. He barks at Mr. McFeely’s bicycle and the trolley’s wheels. Mr. McFeely delivers a baby carriage to the castle for the expected new baby. Bob Dog barks at the moving wheels on the carriage. Back with Mister Rogers, Bob Trow invites Jay Wik over to show Mister Rogers his unicycle. After Jay rides the unicycle, Mr. Trow and Mister Rogers attempt it.
Mister Rogers arrives with a cassette recorder. After he shows the viewers how to use the machine, Mister Rogers records three different instruments–a xylophone, a drum, and a slide whistle. After playing each instrument individually, Mister Rogers then plays all three instruments simultaneously and asks his viewers to try to hear each instrument. Mister Rogers visits Mr. Negri at his music shop. Mr. Negri shows Mister Rogers the many kinds of instruments in his shop. Mister Rogers records Mr. Negri’s playing of two very different sounding guitars, a classical guitar and an amplified electric guitar. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri plays the classical guitar for King Friday. The king expresses an interest in having the new baby learn to play the guitar. Handyman Negri gives the king a small guitar, and the king appears to know how to play well, having never played before. However, Lady Elaine fools the king by playing a recording of a guitar during the king’s playing. King Friday is angry at Lady Elaine. King Friday requests that Handyman Negri teach the new baby how to play the guitar when he is born.
Mister Rogers arrives with a punching bag and a cassette recorder. He talks about how he expresses his feelings when he is angry. Yesterday Mister Rogers recorded instruments on the tape and accidentally erased the tape. Mister Rogers then explained that use of a punching bag may make you feel better. After retaping the instruments, Mister Rogers plays a tape of Neighborhood of Make-Believe voices and asks the viewers to name the characters. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin becomes very frustrated with her knitting. Daniel suggests she punch a bag of rags to help her feel better. Lady Aberlin punches a bag of rags and her knitting. X the Owl arrives and tells Lady Aberlin that her knitting looks like a cloud. Lady Aberlin suggests X use the knitting for a vest. Lady Aberlin then dances to vent her remaining frustrations. Back with Mister Rogers, Mr. K., a sculptor, visits and talks to Mister Rogers about using clay when feeling angry. While molding clay with Mr. K., Mister Rogers explains that molding clay can help express feelings.
Mister Rogers arrives with an uppercase and a lowercase letter “B.” After questioning his viewers about words that begin with “B,” Mister Rogers views an animal film about words that start with “B,” and talks about growing and maturing. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mr. Saunders and his two sons exercise in the “B” room with King Friday. Mr. Saunders shows the king how to exercise and how to protect himself with proper equipment. King Friday orders all the equipment for the new royal baby. Queen Sara explains to Friday that babies can’t play sports until they get older. Lady Elaine has broken the King’s window with her ball and bat. Handyman Negri offers to help her fix the window. King Friday takes Lady Elaine’s bat until she fixes the window. At home, Mister Rogers shows his viewers different types and sizes of balls. He states that, although they all are balls, they are each special and different, just as each person is special and different.
Mister Rogers arrives with red strips of paper and a sheet of yellow paper. He folds the sheet in half and pastes the strips on the sheet to form a window. Mister Rogers asks his viewers to decide which strips are longer. Chef Brockett arrives with two yellow cakes. Mister Rogers and the chef decorate the cakes with red lines to make two windows. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Chef Brockett gives the window cake to Lady Elaine and Grandpere. Grandpere teaches Lady Elaine French words. Handyman Negri arrives to help Lady Elaine fix the king’s window that she broke. Lady Elaine uses her magic boomerang to fix the broken window into a “Fancy French” window. King Friday likes the window. Back at Mister Rogers’ home, Joe Negri calls Mister Rogers to inform him that his record is ready to be picked up. Mister Rogers goes to Mr. Negri’s music and record shop and learns about new instruments and the metro Neighborhood of Make-Believe.
