Edgar Cooke is the royal chef at King Friday’s Castle.

Edgar Cooke is the head chef, almost always seen at the Castle, and he sings most everything he says. He was indeed hired to be a “singing chef.” He prepares the meals for the royal family, and he sometimes gets involved in the happenings in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. In contrast to King Friday XIII’s bombastic and pompous nature, Edgar’s voice is subdued and quiet, and he sings his words in a sad-sounding minor key.
