Mister Rogers arrives wearing a purple backpack which contains a picture of elephants. He invites viewers to join him as he goes to visit these elephants. Returning to the house, Mister Rogers reveals that he also has a video tape in his backpack — a film about how people make backpacks. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, H.J. Elephant makes an appearance. Mayor Maggie stops by the castle wearing a backpack, King Friday wants to know what is inside. When she does not reveal its contents, King Friday petitions Cornflake S. Pecially to build a machine that can look inside of things. Handyman Negri sings “Let’s Think of Something To Do” as well as “I’m a Man Who Manufactures”.
